I study people’s views of their health and use of services and how primary care services are delivered. I will focus on people’s views of taking part in ReDIRECT.

I have an extensive research background within the University of Glasgow and am currently involved in several lifestyle and drug trials in diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I will contribute to the medical evaluation and reporting of the trial.

I have worked on the design and analysis of randomised trials for over 25 years, including the original DiRECT study in type 2 diabetes. I will be responsible for the analysis of the data collected as part of ReDIRECT.

I am Professor of Health Economics based at the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment team at the University of Glasgow. I have led a large number of economic evaluations across different disease areas and will lead the economic evaluation within REDIRECT.

I work as a Project Manager at the Institute of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences, contributing to the coordination and project management of industry and research agency-sponsored clinical trials/studies led by Professor Naveed Sattar. Along with fellow Research Associate Laura Haag, I will be contributing to the NIHR-funded project ReDIRECT and will be one of the main contacts for participants.
